How might we create space for young Black girls to be themselves?

I stumbled upon this article ” Racism in Schools: Pushed out and punished: One woman’s story shows how systems are failing black girls” in my Twitter feed, and as I read it tears rolled down my eyes because I had witnessed how young Black girls were labeled disruptive in preschool. As a former child care provider, I had always been concerned about the labeling of students but definitely of young Black girls because I understood the impact it would have on that’s child interaction with all future educators.
